Complete Flower Set (一台花)
All four seasons or all four plants (一台花). Worth 2 faan for the series, replacing the 1-faan own-flower bonus within it.
How Complete Flower Set (一台花) works
Holding a complete series of bonus tiles — all four seasons (春夏秋冬) or all four plants (梅蘭菊竹) — worth 2 faan for that series.
When one player collects every tile of one bonus series, the series scores 2 faan as a 一台花. The 2 faan replace the 1-faan own-flower credit inside that series rather than stacking with it, since your matching flower is necessarily among the four. Completing both series (all eight bonus tiles) scores each series separately for 4 faan; many live tables treat all eight bonus tiles (八仙過海) as an outright limit, but that is a house rule beyond the standard count.
- •The complete series does not stack with the own-flower faan for that same series — it is 2 faan, not 2 + 1.
- •A matching flower from the other, incomplete series still adds its own 1 faan on top.
- •Both series complete = 2 + 2 = 4 faan under the convention this calculator follows.
- •Common table variations — 3 faan for seven bonus tiles, a limit for all eight — are house rules the calculator does not apply.
Complete Flower Set (一台花) — FAQ
Does my own flower still score inside a complete series?
No. The 2 faan for the complete series replace the 1-faan own-flower credit within it; only a matching flower from the other series can add more.
What if I collect all eight bonus tiles?
Under the standard count each complete series scores its own 2 faan, for 4 in total. Some house rules instead declare all eight an instant limit hand — agree before playing.
