How All Chows (平和) works

A hand of four chows plus a pair, containing no honor tiles at all.

All four sets must be sequences — no pungs or kongs — and the rulebook adds "and no Honors": every tile, including the pair, must be a suited tile. An honor pair disqualifies the fan even when it is a valueless guest wind. Because the no-honor requirement is part of the definition, the 1-point No Honors fan is implied and never added on top.

Good to know
  • Every set is a chow; a single pung or kong disqualifies it.
  • The pair must be a suited tile — any honor pair, value tile or not, breaks the fan.
  • No Honors is implied and not scored separately.

All Chows (平和) — FAQ

Does a guest-wind pair still allow All Chows?

No. The official definition is "all Chows and no Honors" — any honor pair, including a non-value guest wind, disqualifies the fan.

Why is No Honors never listed next to All Chows?

Because All Chows already requires a hand without honors, the implied 1-point No Honors is excluded under the non-repeat principle.
