All Green (綠一色)
Every tile in the hand drawn only from the green-coloured set: 2s, 3s, 4s, 6s, 8s, and the Green Dragon (z6). One wrong tile kills it.
How All Green (綠一色) works
A hand built entirely from the green-suited tiles: the bamboo 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and the Green Dragon.
Every tile in the winning hand must be drawn from the set 2s, 3s, 4s, 6s, 8s and Green Dragon, so named because each of these tiles is printed only in green ink. Because the hand is confined to the souzu suit plus one honor, it is one of MCR's highest-ranked patterns. The Green Dragon may serve as a pung or the pair, while the bamboo tiles form chows or pungs in any valid arrangement.
- •Bamboo 1, 5, 7, 9 are excluded because their faces carry red ink; only the listed five numbers qualify.
- •The hand need not contain the Green Dragon — a version using only the qualifying bamboo tiles is still valid.
- •Lower-tier suit and honor fan implied by this shape are absorbed and not scored separately under the non-repeat rule.
All Green (綠一色) — FAQ
Why is the 1 of bamboo not allowed in All Green?
The pattern is defined by tile color, and the 1 of bamboo (often a bird) and other odd bamboo show red, so only 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 of bamboo and the Green Dragon qualify.
Can All Green be made without any dragon?
Yes. A hand composed solely of qualifying bamboo tiles satisfies All Green; the Green Dragon is permitted but not required.
