How Fully Concealed Self-Drawn (門前清自摸) works

Winning by self-drawing the final tile on a hand that was kept entirely concealed, with no melded sets.

The hand must have no sets claimed from opponents' discards, and the winning tile must be drawn by the player rather than taken from a discard. It combines the concealed-hand condition with the self-draw condition into a single award. Declared concealed kongs do not break the concealed status of the hand.

Good to know
  • No melds from discards may exist anywhere in the hand.
  • The winning tile must be self-drawn, not claimed.
  • A concealed kong is permitted and does not break concealment.

Fully Concealed Self-Drawn (門前清自摸) — FAQ

Does a concealed kong ruin the concealed status?

No, a self-declared concealed kong still counts as part of a fully concealed hand.

What if the winning tile is claimed from a discard?

Then the self-draw condition fails and this combined award does not apply.
