Little Four Winds (小四喜)
Three wind pungs plus a pair of the fourth wind. One step down from Big Four Winds.
How Little Four Winds (小四喜) works
A hand containing pungs (or kongs) of three of the four wind tiles plus a pair of the remaining wind.
Three wind triplets are completed while the fourth wind appears only as the pair, distinguishing it from the higher Big Four Winds where all four winds form triplets. It is a heavily honor-weighted hand and typically co-occurs with pung-based fan such as All Pungs. Under MCR scoring it implies prevalent/seat wind value being folded in rather than double-counted for the wind sets it already describes.
- •Three winds are triplets; the fourth wind must be the pair.
- •If all four winds were triplets it would instead be the larger Big Four Winds pattern.
- •Frequently combines with All Pungs and honor-related fan.
