How Little Four Winds (小四喜) works
Pungs (or kongs) of three of the four winds plus a pair of the fourth wind — 小四喜, 8 tai.
Little Four Winds collects wind triplets of three winds with the last wind as the pair, leaving two sets free for anything. The 8 tai already includes the value of the wind triplets, so seat- and round-wind pungs are not counted again on top. Upgrading the wind pair into a fourth wind pung turns the hand into Big Four Winds.
Good to know
- •Exactly three wind pungs and the fourth wind as the pair.
- •Seat and round wind pung tai are absorbed into the 8 tai rather than stacking.
- •It combines naturally with All Pungs, Mixed One Suit, and All Honors when the rest of the hand cooperates.
Little Four Winds (小四喜) — FAQ
Do my seat and round wind pungs still score separately?
No. Under the standard 台數表 the 8 tai of Little Four Winds already contains the wind-pung value, so they are not double-counted.
What upgrades this to Big Four Winds?
Completing the fourth wind as a full pung instead of a pair — that is 大四喜, worth 16 tai.
