How All Terminals and Honors (混么九) works
A hand in which every set and the pair contains only terminal numbers (1s and 9s) or honor tiles, mixing both.
Each group must be built from terminals or honors, so numbered sets are limited to pungs of 1s or 9s — sequences are impossible since middle tiles are barred. The 'mixed' name distinguishes it from a pure-terminal hand and from All Honors, which uses no numbers at all. The pattern itself is worth 1 faan; because the structure guarantees an all-pungs shape, the 3-faan All Pungs always fires alongside it, so a typical Mixed Orphans hand totals 4 faan before any honor-tile bonuses.
