How Last Tile Claim (河底撈魚) works

Winning on the very last discard of the game — the final tile that goes into the discard pool when the wall is exhausted.

After the live wall runs out, a player who completes their hand on the final discard earns this 'fishing the bottom of the river' bonus. It is the discard-claim counterpart to winning on the last drawn tile from the wall, and is purely a timing bonus independent of hand structure. It combines with whatever shape and suit faan the hand already holds.

Good to know
  • It applies to a discard win, distinct from the bonus for self-drawing the wall's last tile.
  • Only the final discard of the hand qualifies; earlier discards do not.
  • Being a circumstance bonus, it stacks with any structural patterns in the hand.

Last Tile Claim (河底撈魚) — FAQ

How is this different from winning on the last drawn tile?

Last Tile Claim is winning on the final discard, while the last-draw bonus rewards self-drawing the wall's last tile; they are separate circumstances.

Does the hand's shape matter?

No. It is awarded purely for the timing of the win and adds on top of whatever pattern the hand forms.
