How All Even Pungs (全雙刻) works
A hand of four pungs (or kongs) and a pair, all made from even-numbered tiles: 2, 4, 6, and 8.
Every set and the pair use only the even ranks 2, 4, 6, 8 from the suits, with no odd numbers and no honors. The hand is necessarily all-triplet since only even values are allowed and chows would require consecutive numbers. The all-pung character and the absence of terminals and honors are inherent to this pattern.
Good to know
- •Only tiles numbered 2, 4, 6, 8 may be used; no 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and no honors.
- •Chows are impossible here, so the all-pungs structure is implied.
- •Excludes terminals and honors by definition.
All Even Pungs (全雙刻) — FAQ
Can it contain any sequences?
No. Even-only tiles cannot form a run of three consecutive numbers, so every set must be a pung or kong.
Are honor tiles allowed?
No. Only even-numbered suit tiles qualify; winds and dragons are excluded.
