How Greater Honors and Knitted Tiles (七星不靠) works

A special non-standard hand using all seven honor tiles plus knitted single tiles (one suit's terminals/middles spread across suits) to total fourteen distinct tiles.

The hand holds all seven honors — the three dragons and four winds — once each, and fills the remaining seven slots with knitted singles drawn so each suit contributes only its assigned numbers from the 1-4-7 / 2-5-8 / 3-6-9 knitted framework. It forms no conventional melds or pair; it is scored as a complete special hand. It is the larger counterpart to the lesser version, which omits one honor in favor of an extra knitted tile.

Good to know
  • All fourteen tiles are singles with no triplets, runs, or pair.
  • Requires the complete set of all seven honor tiles.
  • The knitted tiles must respect the suit-to-number assignment of the knitted scheme.
