All Fives (全帶五)
16 fan
Every meld and the pair contains a 5. Highly constrained.
Example winning hand
Winning tile: 5p
How All Fives (全帶五) works
A hand in which every set and the pair contains the number 5, so each chow, pung, and the pair includes a five.
Each of the four sets must contain a 5 tile, and the pair must be a pair of fives. Chows qualify only as 345, 456, or 567 since these are the sequences containing a five, and pungs must be pungs of 5. This constraint on every group is what defines the pattern, and it interacts with no-honors style conditions since fives are always suit tiles.
Good to know
- •Every set, including the pair, must include a 5 tile.
- •Eligible chows are 345, 456, and 567; the only eligible pung is a pung of 5.
- •Because all tiles are number tiles, honors cannot appear.
