How Mixed Straight (花龍) works
A 1-9 straight split across the three suits, formed from a 1-2-3, a 4-5-6, and a 7-8-9 in different suits.
The three runs together cover ranks one through nine, but each run comes from a different numeric suit, contrasting with Pure Straight where all three runs share one suit. It is a chow-based pattern and combines freely with other chow and tile-attribute fan as long as the non-repeat principle is respected. The defining feature is the cross-suit distribution of the consecutive run blocks.
Good to know
- •Three runs 1-2-3, 4-5-6, 7-8-9 each in a different suit.
- •Differs from Pure Straight, which keeps all three runs in one suit.
- •Composed of chows, so it conflicts with all-triplet patterns.
