How Last Tile Draw (海底捞月) works
Winning by self-drawing the very last drawable tile from the wall.
Last Tile Draw, poetically 'scooping the moon from the sea floor,' is scored when a player completes their hand on the final tile available to draw from the wall. It is a timing bonus and combines with the hand's underlying pattern. Being a self-drawn finish, it pairs naturally with Self Draw, and the final tile is a number-suit tile respecting the voided suit.
Good to know
- •Applies specifically to the last drawable wall tile, not to a discard made near the end of the round.
- •Because it is self-drawn, it typically coincides with the Self Draw condition.
- •The completing last tile is from a number suit and cannot be of the player's voided suit.
Last Tile Draw (海底捞月) — FAQ
Does Last Tile Draw require a self draw?
Yes. The pattern is defined by drawing the final wall tile yourself; winning on a late discard is a different situation.
Can it stack with Self Draw?
Yes. Drawing the last tile is itself a self draw, so the two timing conditions are satisfied together.
