Last Tile Discard (海底炮)
Last Tile Discard — winning on the very last discard of the round.
How Last Tile Discard (海底炮) works
Last Tile Discard is a win achieved on the final discard of the round, when the wall is exhausted and an opponent's last thrown tile completes your hand.
It occurs at the very bottom of the sea, after the last wall tile has been drawn and the resulting discard is the tile you need. Because it is a discard-based win at the round's end, it contrasts with the self-drawn last-tile win and with replacement-tile wins from kongs. The opponent who throws that final tile is treated as having dealt in the winning hand.
- •The win specifically comes from the last discard once the wall can no longer be drawn from.
- •It is the discard counterpart to the self-drawn final-tile bonus, and the two are mutually exclusive for a single win.
- •No honors and a voided suit still apply, so the completing tile must fit the player's single- or dual-suit hand.
Last Tile Discard (海底炮) — FAQ
How is this different from a last-tile self-draw?
Last Tile Discard wins on an opponent's final thrown tile, while a last-tile self-draw wins on the very last tile you draw yourself.
Does the discarder bear responsibility for this win?
Yes; the player who makes the final discard is treated as the one who fed the winning tile.
