How Golden Hook (金钩钓) works
Golden Hook is winning on a single tile: all four of your sets are declared melds, leaving just one tile in hand fishing for its pair.
After pungs or kongs are called for all four sets, only the pair remains unfinished and the hand waits on exactly one tile. Completing that bare pair — by draw or discard — is the Golden Hook, worth 2 fan. Because a fully-melded hand can only be built from pungs and kongs, the pattern replaces All Pungs rather than stacking with it, and it combines normally with suit-based patterns like Pure One Suit and with kong fan and roots.
